LEGENDE EKSISTENS
Can play be an existence? Can existence be play? Can we even exist without play?
With organic shapes and playful lines, Tina Seirup Nielsen seeks, in her exhibition PLAYFUL EXISTENCE, to insist on the informal, the playful, the unpredictable. To create a counterpoint to the many linear lines and boxes of life, even a response to the predictable, the expected, and the planned.
The title PLAYFUL EXISTENCE is a reference to a playful and curious way of being in the world—a way in which we experience through informal relaxation, the openness of unpredictability, and playful curiosity. Perhaps playful existence can inspire us to look at the world, at each other, and at ourselves with new, more open, and curious eyes, and to play more with life.
The exhibition consists of various objects created through a process of playing with shapes, colors, and contrasts in materials, including sculptures made of wood, acrylic glass, and plaster, as well as graphics and drawings.
