PLAYFUL FORM
In my graduation project, I have aimed to create a series of sculptures with a playful, lively, and organic form language that insists on presence as a physical manifestation of mindfulness.
Modern life, with its hectic pace, technological distractions, and constant flow of information, challenges our ability to be present—affecting our connection with ourselves and others. My sculptures aim to embody an energy that feels both alive and inviting, which can only be experienced physically, beyond the limitations of words. This encourages viewers to become more aware of their bodily experience and the space around them.
Through the process, I explored the power and dynamism of organic curves and shapes, striving for a wordless connection between the sculpture and the viewer. By experimenting with materials (acrylic, metal, leather, foam) and techniques (heat molding, welding, laser cutting), I created a rhythm between familiarity (organic forms) and unpredictability (experimental results), giving each sculpture a unique expression and inviting new experiences for the viewer.
This reflects the idea of presence as something dynamic, constantly manifesting in new ways.
